  1. Seriously, I believe that I will make magnetic signs for the sides and rear of my SUV for my next bird count. "I AM COUNTING WILD BIRDS." People react suspiciously to people that stop in front of their home and stare at their yards thru binoculars. Always get at least one person who comes up to ask what I'm doing (which is fine, I'm happy to share my eco-messages). They say, "Just trying to keep out the riff-raff."

  2. Rain coming, just in time for the Marysville #ChristmasBirdCount on Monday. Would not be the first CBC I've done soaking wet. 🌧️

Sacramento NWS: "There is growing confidence that there will be multi-day event of rain and mountain snow sometime between Sunday and Wednesday. By Sunday night, there is a 30-50% chance the western portions of the Valley and across the Sierra will see greater than 0.25" of precipitation and 15-25% throughout the Valley and Northern Sacramento Valley."

  3. Going through photos and came across this one of American #oystercatchers during a #ChristmasBirdCount. I really like the lines separating the colors. Photo by #SetNetCommunications for #pasopacifico
