ST ALBANS CATHEDRAL called in the police on Sunday to deal with protestors from #ChristianClimateAction, who were holding a prayer vigil urging the cathedral to cease its banking arrangements with #BarclaysBank

Activism can be very frustrating. People responding to love with conspiracy theories, vitriol, and racism have been so manipulated by this broken system that the blame doesn’t fall on them alone.
Does anybody have any tips on ways of working through this? This behavior and this small but organized group committed to obstruction of progress cause Town-Meeting form of government to cease to function.
Trump and MAGA led to a lot of people walking away from the process. When evil runs the show, and enough people don’t want to pay attention as is, nothing happens.
Any Catholic priests out there?

This is the Church where I work in #EastLothian. The banners are by #StitchesForSurvival. Thousands of people from across the 🌎 made #climatechange banners & took them to #COP26. The ones in the pics were made since then & displayed in public to catalyse climate conversations. As #cop27egypt begins, we need #prayer & #action on the climate crisis more than ever. I’ve joined #ChristianClimateAction. I’ll be marching with them in Edinburgh next Saturday. Get in touch if you’d like to join in.
