I am a big fan of casual (or impromptu or public) choirs. I was first turned onto the concept by Choir Choir Choir, out of Toronto, but I keep finding different iterations of them from all over the world.

I would really love to get one started in my area.

Have any of your ever been to an impromptu choir event? Are they a thing where you live? Would you like them to be?

Closing out 2025 with an inspiring message from Patti Smith.

To redeem the work of fools
From the meek the graces shower
It's decreed the people rule”

@Heliograph @Susan60 @openculture the page has 2 other utube videos of #ChoirChoirChoir performing Psycho killer and Burning down the house, both Talking Heads titles, sung without Byrne however.

If you’re in the UK or Europe near one of these cities you owe it to yourself to check this out. I’ve been to several of their shows and they never disappoint. #ChoirChoirChoir #CCC http://youtube.com/post/UgkxcslPpr1wyflIbbAoYGeuue9dlkiFw6xw

I love Choir! Choir! Choir! I've been watching them for years.

Every video is an example of expert community building. You watch enough of their videos and you start to see some of the same people over and over.

It's very cool.

Now I see some of them with their kids. Awesome!
