🇮🇹 Arriva Group has completed the acquisition of an 80% stake in La Linea Spa, a private bus operator in Italy’s Veneto region, following an agreement signed on 24 April 2026. The deal strengthens Arriva’s position in northern Italy and more than doubles its market presence in the region, where it already operates services between #Chioggia and #Venice.
As part of the transaction, Arriva also acquires Martinibus, a long-established shuttle operator providing airport, port and urban connections, along with three depots in Marghera and Mestre (Venice). Arriva holds an option to purchase the remaining 20% of La Linea in the future.
La Linea operates more than 7.6 million kilometres annually, with around 40% of its fleet already zero emission and further electrification planned over time.

When the sun sets, its light becomes warmer and the tones turn redder. A sense of peace prevails, especially when the reflections kiss the water, illuminating even more and highlighting the colorful buildings around.
It would be nice if all of us, without exception, stopped fighting our daily battles and paused, at least for a few minutes, to listen to the silence of the sun as it kisses our skin at sunset.

Städtereise: Chioggia
Chioggia - das kleine Venedig. Auf Holzpfählen errichtet, am Südende der Lagune von Venedig gelegen. Die Geschichte der Stadt reicht bis ins 2. Jahrhundert v. Chr. zurück. Besonders wichtig war die Stadt im Handel von Salz. Von 1814 bis 1866 war Chioggia zudem Teil des Kaisertums Österreich. Parkmöglichkeiten & Verkehr Wer mit dem Auto anreist, findet einen sehr großen Parkplatz auf der Isola dell'Unione. Innerhalb weniger Minuten, gelangt man in die Stadt. In der Stadt ist - im […] -
Heute viel Rad gefahren, 140 km von #Chioggia bis #Governolo am #Mincio. Aber es gab sehr sehr nette Begegnungen. In einer Bar hat mir die Bedienung erzählt, dass sie Grafikdesign studiert und mir dann etwas in das Notizbuch gemalt, das ich mir bei RaiPlay beim #VeniceFilmFestival durch einen Social Media Post auf Instagram verdient habe.
Übrigens auf der Strecke auch viele verfallende Bauernhöfe und tot gefahrene Greifvögel.

Eine absolut sehenswerte Stadt mit jüdischem Viertel (auch ein #Ghetto) und dem Frühreformator Girolamo #Savonarola, der dort geboren ist.
Dann 70 km mit dem Rad bis #Chioggia (thx @Linkshaender ), gute Route vom @bikerouter

Suspended after the summer season in 2013, now almost 12 years later on 5 July 2025 a direct weekend regional service during summer will be reintroduced between #Verona Porta Nuova 🇮🇹 and #Chioggia on the Adriatic coast via #Legnago, #Rovigo and #Adria.
The former "Treno del Mare" will be now labelled as "Chiogga Line".
