The sudden and unexpected closure of the airspace over El Paso, Texas, appears to have stemmed from the US federal government conducting drone-related tests.

The 10-day closure, which ultimately ended hours after it was announced late Tuesday, caused a mass panic in the US-Mexico border city, with the mayor telling the BBC that the chaos "was completely unnecessary".

I'm not impressed with President Biden's statement on the #UFO #UAP shootdowns. Apparently we could mitigate against surveillance concerns with the #ChineseSpyBalloon, but not the other objects. Furthermore, the main reason for shooting them down appears to be that they were at commercial traffic altitudes. The current intel assessment is that the three other objects were balloons owned by companies or researchers. If that's true, are we scrambling fighters to intercept all the others that are probably out there still?
