  3. Today, I learned about a really interesting #GoogleSheets addon for #Mandarin and #Cantonese. It is called Mandarin Cantonese Tools, and it will convert #ChineseCharacters into either #Pinyin or #Jyutping. This could be incredibly useful for learners of Canto or Mandarin #langtwt

  4. ... him stretching his arms out, his torso, and him doing the full splits which is his strange way of standing. It's not etymologically accurate, but it's a #mnemonic that works for me.   5. 他 [ta1] = he / him. It is composed of a person (亻), the meaning part, next to a character, 也, which used to mean snake, the phonetic part.

  6. 我 [wo3] = I/me. It is composed of a hand (手) next to a weapon (戈). You can think of a #mnemonic like you are in #AncientChina but it is dangerous so you imagine "I" as a hand with a weapon. 我喜歡喝紅茶 = I like to drink black tea. #Chinese #ChineseCharacters #LearnChinese #Mandarin
