Meanwhile in #China… Religious scandal erupts as the Shaolin Abbot is now suffering for his alleged lust, greed and desire - Shi Yongxin is no longer the abbot of the Shaolin Temple. He is under investigation. According to the Buddhist Association of China, Shi is: suspected of criminal activity, including the embezzlement and misappropriation of project funds and temple assets. He is also accused of maintaining improper relationships with multiple women over an extended period and fathering illegitimate children, in serious violation of Buddhist precepts. He is currently under joint investigation by multiple departments. Shi Yongxin’s actions are of an extremely vile nature, have severely damaged the reputation of the Buddhist community, and have tarnished the image of monastics.
