Through my #palestine friend Neveen, I've met Salma. Friends, they went to school together and by chance met at the hospital one day several months ago. With the help of my friend network, we have managed to get her verified and set up with a chuffed.org campaign. Salma's story is unimaginable. Her 9 year-old twins concieved by in-vitro fertilization were BOTH killed in a bombing.

Today marks 47 years since the passing of my son, Patrick. He was 7 months old when he died. While there has never been a year when this day hasn't weighed on my heart, there have been years when the burden wasn't so heavy. This year, for whatever reason, I miss him more than ever.
His birth was the moment I knew that, as a dad, I would sacrifice everything to show up and give him and any future kids the time and attention that I never received. I did that.
