This memory is probably best aimed at the UK.
When I was a kid there was a chewing gum machine on the wall outside the tobacconist shop. It was Beach Nut.
This machine would give you a second free packet every fourth turn.
We knew the position that the knob you turned to drop the gum had to be in to get the free extra pack.
So we would wait, hanging out around the shop, until it was in that position and purchase our gum.

The view through the trees towards the Muir of Dess served as a parade ground for past people and personalities. Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be. On a day like that it was an easy afternoon of joy at the remembrance of shared experiences.

I remember being in the gym and playing baseball (if it was in the gym, it was likely kickball or some other baseball derivative). I was standing at second base and then my "teammate" on first decided to steal second and then I was out for some reason.

This really annoyed me because I was never told it could happen, I had no way of noticing it was happening and I hate getting punished because someone else did something dumb
