#ChicoCA Coolest summer of my 12 years in the #CentralValley! Mostly low-mid-90s with only a couple 100F high fives.

My hot season bike tip: Get used to it, hydrate, and keep pedaling. It's the coolest summer of the rest of your life.

@ascentale @streetmeme @bikenite #ChicoCA and I used to be able to do a pretty decent ~30 second track stand when I rode fixed in Oakland and SF (20 years ago). No longer ride fixed (knees), but still try and balance for as long as possible when stopped

Picked up this Salso Fargo kinda randomly while in Reno for work in March. Guy selling it was a super rad, older bike wizard who had built this up for his son for a trip in 🇬🇪 that was cancelled. Essentially a brand new bike.

My first bike with a 1x drivetrain, disc brakes and carbon anything. Pictured below on a ride in Upper #BidwellPark in #ChicoCA.

I'll use it for some #bikepacking myself, but primarily going to use it for local #gravel rides here in #NorCal.
