Overview Schaumburg is a notable northwestern suburb of Chicago within Cook County, Illinois, associated with a family-friendly environment and numerous theme and amusement parks as well as a medieval dinner theater and part of the historical Spring Valley park within the area. Perhaps the most significant portion of the community, however, is the sprawling area of the Woodfield Mall.
