No, I didn’t need another chess set. But the so-called “Knubbel” – or Danish Union type – is hard to resist. Not flashy, not expensive, just charmingly squat and steeped in Danish chess history. Maybe not the most practical set to play with, but full of quiet character.

I've added the "Classic Parisian Café de la Régence Chess Set" to BambuLab's Makerworld.
Fullsize set: King is about 100 mm tall and 30 mm wide at the base. Pawn is 50 mm tall and 20 mm at the base.
I recommend using matte PLA. I've printed them with a 0.4mm nozzle and a 0.16mm layer height. Resulting prints are in the photo's. A 0.2mm nozzle and even smaller layer height can be used for finer detail.

B.M. Foulfinger challenged Titiana to a game of schmess, so they rounded up all the Sifillis Celebrities that were hanging around Videotape Palace and headed to the life-size schmess board out back by the hedge maze. They used queezimps and belchkins for pawns (not pictured). ♟️
