👑 **Navigating the Giants: My Journey in the 13th ICCF Veterans’ World Cup** 👑
As a senior chess enthusiast, I entered this prestigious event as an untitled player, facing opponents with significantly higher ratings, including International Masters and other titled players. To all senior chess enthusiasts out there, I say this: Keep playing, keep learning, and keep improving. Your journey in the world of chess is far from over.

Congrarulations to Chinese Grand Master Ding on becoming World Chess Champion.
I've seen a few people saying he only won because the previous champion, Magnus Carlsen, declined to play. I say, you got to be in it to win it!
I've seen a few people saying that the quality of the match wasn't as great as with Magnus involved. Well, even Magnus said this match was a different dynamic to his matches, where players tried to close positions down rather than take risks to keep the position alive.
I can't understand why people who are nowhere near as good as Ding are taking shots at him less than a day after he scores the biggest win of his life. He's World Champion, he played better overall chess than his opponent during the match which was a spectacular delight for the fans.
Great work Ding, and congratulations on becoming the 17th World Chess Champion!

I was going to play all afternoon in the Weekly Classical Arena because it's a rare Friday that I have off, but after the first game was like, dang, it's a lot of work to play classical. Might as well go out on a high note. Might play another game this afternoon. https://lichess.org/1wh1W6c0/white #chess #ClassicalChess #lichess #chesspunks
