Gates Fadden is most famous for playing Beverly Crusher on Star Trek.
Her first name is unusual, but I've never looked into it. I just knew her full name is Cheryl Gates McFadden and she used Cheryl McFadden when working as a choreographer.
Now I suddenly had a hunch and looked up her parents. Yep. =)
