Cut Me Deep (A Story Of Indie Pop 1985-1989)
2024 UK 4xCD Box SetTHIS was something I just couldn’t pass up.
There were just too many amazing artists and too many great songs to not buy it.
Each CD has over 70 mins. of music on it, and it’s the kind of thing where you can just pick ANY of the four, let it play from the beginning, and be completely happy.
It really is an embarrassment of #80s indie pop riches.I’ll let you read the tracklist on your own to see what I’m talking about.
This might be my favorite thing I’ve bought all year.

I could be wrong but it feels to me like the late '70s, when punk arrived and then, more importantly for me, all the post-punk '80s indie labels.
That gave us #Mute, #TwoTone, #Stiff, #TouchAndGo, #K, #Postcard, #CherryRed, #Creation, #SarahRecords, #SubwayRecords, #BlastFirst and all the others. It was great until they folded / were bought by majors.
I feel like the #Fediverse might be that again but for where we are now.
Something that cannot be bought, cannot be centralised.

Sain eilen #Xtrfy K4 valkoisen näppiksen ja must tuntuu et mulla menee vähän pidempää aikaa tottua tähän Kailh Red -kytkimeen. Edellisessä oli ruskeat kytkimet ja vara-näppiksessä oli Cherry Red -kytkimet.
Kailh Redissä on hyvin hento tuntuma. Aivan kuin painaisi uimapatjaa sormella. :meowgiggle2:
