For the past two years, I've tried everything I could to keep the birds out of our cherry tree so we could actually have a few for ourselves. The first year I managed to snatch one whole cherry, last year I think I got two. I gave up and decided they could just have them. So of course I now have a bowl of cherries because nothing makes sense .🤷♀️

De vez em quando, pesquiso sobre programas para #Linux, tanto pelo nome, quanto pela categoria, e, infelizmente, tenho notado que a produção de conteúdo cessou há cerca de 10 ou 20 anos.
Deparo-me com artigos dos sites Linux.com e OpenSource.com. O primeiro mudou de foco, o segundo foi desidratado pela empresa do chapéu vermelho e parou de publicar.
Com uma variedade imensa de ambientes, toolkits e possibilidades, eu acho lamentável reduzir o desktop Linux a um punhado de applets e um ou mais navegadores Web. Não só lamentável, mas perigoso.
Minha busca começou de forma ingênua: decidi pesquisar outliners para Linux, para ver o que apareceria, já que usei o #NoteCase no passado e hoje sigo com #CherryTree e #TreeLine (este último mescla a árvore de um outliner com campos tipificados para uma entrada estruturada de diferentes dados). Não fiquei impressionado.
Não acho que é preciso ser hipócrita e negar as transformações que aconteceram nas últimas décadas, mas, ao mesmo tempo, não acho que o desktop precisa ser um terminal quase burro para aplicativos que rodam em computadores alheios, com exceções pontuais.
