According to #ilsole24ore newspaper, #Edison (supported by #EDF) and #Ansaldo have submitted a dossier to the Italian government to install 15-20 small modular reactors (from 2030) and [currently non-existent] advanced modular reactors (from 2040) for a total budget of € 30 (!) billion. #nuclear
The journalist #CheoCondina doesn’t raise any questions about technical or financial feasibility, despite incredibly low budgets of 1.5 to 2 billion euro per reactor.
