Chemical Proteomics without an enrichment step: The group of Jacob Geri with first author Peter Bellotti published a method for residue-specific #chemoproteomics without the need for an enrichment step. To achieve this, they developed reagents that shift the ion mobility of modified peptides for gas phase separation. In my eyes, this is a super exciting concept that could really move the field forward in the future. (2/12)

Which flow rate is most suitable for MS-based #proteomics and #chemoproteomics experiments?

Amazing talk by Sebastian Essig at #FocusOnCovalentDrugs. He talked about covalent drug discovery with a focus on characterizing novel warheads. Great insights into library design, reactivity profiling and #chemoproteomics for global analysis of selectivity.

Very interesting. We recently started with SP3 in our lab and partly it gives amazing results compared to a urea in solution digest. Nevertheless, we also seem to get some inconsistency from prep to prep. So, there might actually be some trickiness to learning or teaching it. We will have to do some troubleshooting. Probably starting with binding and digest.
