My German has become complete shit, but I still can read simple sentences, like this one (above the picture, and in the picture):

I forgot I had bought breadcrumbs about a month ago, and almost bought more. It would have been a disaster!

I forgot to report earlier, but I think Milkshake (Maddox's pre-shelter name) has learned how to move the toilet seat up, because when I went to look this morning it was up!!!
But I put it down last night! Gotcha, dastardly cat!
😱
:catthinking:
Or did I? Maybe I just forgot to put it down. :headache:

I'm going to stop publishing audio/video on #PeerTube.
I have multiple reasons:
* It is more work for me, and I'm not seeing much value in it.
* My PeerTube instance keeps having uptime issues. This is very annoying for me. I want to do something, and I cannot do it. Then I tend to forget. I don't need more time management issues. I have chemo brain.
* I don't have money to plunk down on spinning up my own server, or subscribing to someone else's server. Your Autistic Life's operating costs are already higher than any revenue I make, so...
Going forward, my stuff is going to be published on YouTube. I'll post articles on my blog for every post I create on YouTube.

I've created a new channel on YouTube for the stuff I had in French on PeerTube. I just need to upload my stuff there.

Ok, I admit it. I'm gripped by the holiday spirit. So, with this in mind, in the following days, I'm going to bring out my favorite holiday songs, as interpreted by my chemo brain.
They will be tagged with:
You will get such hits as:
All I Want For Christmas Is Chemo
Roasting My Nuts On An Open Fire
Pee On Your Knees
Winter Where The Hell Are My Keys Land
O Tannenbaum (What the hell is a tannenbaum???)
I Saw Santa Claus and My Mom [Bleeping] Last Night
[Bleeping] [Bleeped] [Bleep] [Oh my [Bleeping] God, this song is so [bleeping] vile!] [Bleep] [Bleeped]
(Sorry, we had to bleep the bleeps in the previous song, because the bleeper was using lewd language.)
And more!

I find that when I write fiction, I tend to go for the jugular.
"The knight killed the dragon and the peasants rejoiced. The End."
Okay, but what motivated the knight?
Why kill a dragon?
Did the dragon have a life? What kind of life?
How about the peasant? Did they want the knight to kill the dragon?
Etc...
All of these questions eventually do come, but, good grief, it is like pulling teeth right out of my mind.
(Try pulling teeth right out of your mind. It is harder than pulling teeth right out of your mouth.)
I don't know why it is this way. Is it my chemo brain??? I definitely did not *allow* myself to be this creative prior to my cancer. So... 🤷
Or it could be my #ActuallyAutistic mind finally unleashed. Still, it is my cancer that pushed me out of the autism closet, just as it did push me out of multiple other closets.
My cancer has been in remission for almost 3 years now, with no signs of coming back.
I'd never go to someone who has cancer and ask them to find the silver linings. I think finding the silver linings has to be done by the person who has the cancer, and not by others.
Let me point out here that sometimes, there are no silver linings. I've helped people who were in this situation. ☹️
In my case, my cancer almost killed me, but there's been a silver lining. In some very queer way (pun intended), my cancer has freed my mind.
Not that I recommend getting cancer to free your mind. :madjoy:

Getting #chemo left me w/ #ChemoBrain. Very often, specific words feel elusive, like they're in my mind but I can't grab them. I have to re-read sentences for comprehension.
Others dismiss my symptoms as typical of aging, but I'm in my 40s, far from elderly.
The #BrainFog of #LongCovid reminds me of chemo brain. Now if I mention chemo brain, others say, "Oh yes, I have that too, we're just getting older!"
Somehow they've normalized cognitive decline & don't consider it might be long covid. 🤷🏻♀️

Yeah... I tell people to set their language properly when they post here, and what do I do?
I forget to set it.
:headache:
At any rate, it is fixed now.

Today, my brain is dancing a...
:catthinking:
See? I don't even know what the hell dance my brain is dancing. That's how non-compliant my brain is today.
:headache:
Brain: "Teehee... I'm a pterydagfttolc"
Me: "Stupid brain! You don't even know how to spell pterodactyl!"
Brain: "Yes, I do. You just spelled it right!"
Me: "Fuck! I hate it when you are right!"
Brain: "How about when I'm wrong?"
Me: "I hate it, too."

My phone rings to remind me to take my medicine.
I get up and pick up my glass because I'm going to need water too.
I go to the kitchen, refill the glass, park my butt back on the chair and realize that I did not take my pill.

I seem to be dealing with a troll website this morning. The downloads start really fast, then they slow down, then they slow down, then they slow down... rinse and repeat.
The end result is that the download will never complete.
I don't recall how we describe that mathematically.

I know that I've been saying that I spin the wheel of blame, and it lands on chemo brain...
Here's why.

So when I went to the grocery store yesterday, I looked at the muffins and I thought maybe I'd get the banana nut ones, under the notion that they'd be less calories than the triple chocolate ones...
However, lo and behold, the triple chocolate ones were 10 calories less per muffin than the banana nut ones. So I got the triple chocolate ones.
So sue me, I'm a #chocolate lover. 😋
A few minutes ago I thought about my afternoon snack and thought that I remembered having tossed the #muffin container, but that was a fabricated memory because there was still one muffin in the container and the container was sitting on the fridge.
So I'm going to have it now. 🤤

Bilan du retour au travail après 13 mois d'arrêt (et de traitements): autant je lis avec plaisir et comprends une synthèse d'études sociologiques, autant je bug quand il s'agit de faire un fond de caisse.
