@angoca quien lidera @OSM_Colombia en #Colombia ha escrito un artículo reseñando el observatorio que he creado sobre el terremoto en Colombia.

Ellos realizan una labor fantástica con #ChatMap, que recopila imágenes y videos de lugares afectados por el desastre. Al cruzar esta información con otros datos, se obtiene una imagen más completa de la situación sobre el terreno.

@OSM_Colombia 72 de los 75 municipios que el RUD registra tras el sismo de Chocó no tienen ni un edificio confirmado por satélite. En Condoto el 22% de la población quedó registrada como damnificada y no hay foto ni verificación independiente de eso.

Si hay manera de verificar en Condoto, Sipí, Nóvita, Pueblo Rico o San José del Palmar: un reporte en ChatMap ahí vale más que en cualquier ciudad grande.

Last Saturday, the #UNMappers Kenya Youth Climate Mapping Externship team went back.

Armed with #KoboToolbox and #ChatMap, the team fanned out across Sarang'ombe and Woodley to revisit those same points and see what five years had changed.

What they found was remarkable. The numbers had reduced. A significant percentage of the original trash points had been reclaimed. The community had moved the needle — through local action, not outside intervention.

📅 The initiative ran for two days: a training day on 17 April and a full field deployment (mapping and drainage cleanup) on 18 April.

🌐 The team collected 110 geolocated drainage records and supported drain blockage cleaning.

UN Mappers Kenya — Nairobi Drainage Map and Clean 🇰🇪

In April 2026, #UNMappers Kenya partnered with the the Young Lawyers Voice on Climate Change Foundation YLVOCCF to collect structured, geolocated drainage data on the ground in one of the areas most affected by flooding in Nairobi.
