@laxsill Yes! Look at Yiddish Pasekh (Keyman) — it lets you type Yiddish phonetically using a normal Latin/QWERTY keyboard and produces proper Unicode Yiddish. Yiddish Typer is another very easy option. For Mac, Yiddish Klal looks particularly interesting. The harder part seems to be finding a good Yiddish spellchecker for LibreOffice/Collabora. #ChatCPT<

If you are a non-famous semi-public figure (like an #academic or someone else who has a public presence but whose name would never be a household one), do you get an accurate result if you ask #ChatCPT "Who is [your full name]"?

For me it knew my academic affiliation and job title, and it got both my research focus and publishing record right, but it also invented an "Initiative" that I am supposedly "Director" of within my university (which doesn't exist). 😳​

Now I'm starting to train #ChatCPT to write letters of application. This is harder than training it to write letters of recommendation. It's harder to get the right level of detail so it doesn't sound quite so bullshitty. Bullshit seems more central to the genre of the letters of recommendation than letters of application.
