It bears the official stationery of a #Gerrer #chassidic #mesivta. On one side, you see the unmistakable, bold handwriting of none other than #Rav #MeirShapiro, the legendary visionary of #DafYomi and #Lublin. On the reverse is a letter by the #ImreiEmes of #Ger, Rav #AvrahamMordechaiAlter.

The recipient of this heavy-hitting letter was #Rabbi #YosefBaumgarten (1864-1933), the distinguished dayan and later av beit din of #Vienna's famed #SchiffShul. Rav #Baumgarten was a man deeply involved in the global communal affairs of the era, making him the perfect address for this urgent appeal."

Agreed. For far too long most ideas within Chassidus were effectively not available to those of us in Modern Orthodoxy or non-Orthodox Judaism. It is beautiful that today there is so much more exploration of Chassidic ideas.
