New year, new adventures. This week I discovered matcha. Bought a tin on Friday, made an improvised cup to see whether I liked it, and, well, yes I did.
So put in a quick order for a chasen whisk (you won't get a good foamy cup without it), scoop and chasen stand.
This morning's cup was lovely, I'm hooked.The taste is interesting, familiar tea flavour, but with a savoury touch.
And I like the little ritual of making it. It doesn't take long, but it does slow you down just a bit.
