"Reunited" - Peaches and Herb
"The sweethearts of soul", according to their press release.
"Gertcha" - Chas & Dave
No footballers? No snooker players? Not even someone in the background playing shove ha'penny? The professional Cockney image still needed some work...

"Tottenham, Tottenham" - Tottenham Hotspur FC
At this point in history, it was common for football teams to make a single to "celebrate" their appearance in the Thefa Cup final, back when this was the high point of the season and not just another staging point towards the Intertoto Cup.
None of these singles were any good. None of them. Spurs made three with Chas & Dave, each worse than the last.

I couldn't get this out of my head yesterday without exorcising it. Thank you for being there. #ChasAndDave #ChasNDave #rabbit #Tolkein

Hang on.
Sainsbury's doesn't sell rabbits? -
"Snooker loopy" - Chas & Dave and The Matchroom Mob
A plinky-plonky simple tune, no great vocal range, plenty of effects of snooker balls hitting hard, and a ballad-like story telling of five leading players of the time. All were signed to the Matchroom organisation, under Barry Hearn, and all would give a chunk of their prize money to him.
Chas and Dave's final appearance on the show.

"Your honour" - Pluto
Are you taking notes, Bob? That's rather lovely light reggae, could hear some more of that.
"Ain't no pleasing you" - Chas and Dave with the video, shot from a hotel ballroom.
Hang on, headcanon incoming! Can we imagine that's the same hotel as The Nolans? Are we going to get a crossover between the Professional Cockneys and the Lovely Nolans?!

Quick plug for "The Stories Behind the Songs", where Chas's daughter Kate Garner explores - and plays - some of these music hall songs, and reminisces about her dad.
That's on the Talking Pictures channel. https://talkingpicturestv.co.uk/

Oh, crikey. Chas and Dave's "Stars over 45". A pastiche of the medley songs we endured over the spring and summer.
The professional cockneys bang out "When I'm cleaning windows", "Any old lion", "Run rabbit run" (featuring one of the house dancers in Anya's furry bunny outfit), "The laughing policeman", "Knees up Mother Brown", and it continues long after the fadeout.

Just saw a question on an old quiz show which made reference to the #Courage Brewery and that immediately brought this classic British #TVNews advert to mind.
