I went to see Coyote Vs. ACME with @Alrecenk at our local theater.
I try to go to a #movie about once a month, as long as there's something that I actually want to see. Our #cinema was closed for about two years (May 2024 - April 2026) and reopened under new ownership. The best way for it to stick around is to actually utilize it. Of course I still go to discounted Tuesday showings. You can't beat a $7 movie ticket these days.
INFRASTRUCTURE & FEDERAL DEPENDENCE

When I woke from that #dream, I remembered the existence of a store that hadn't been in Charleston Town Center Mall since I was in kindergarten (or maybe first grade) in the mid-1980s. It was either called "Heaven" or "Almost Heaven." The latter would make more sense as I'm in West Virginia.
✅ Dead last for meeting federal exercise guidelines
✅ Jails women at 180 per 100,000, higher than nearly every country on Earth
✅ Worst broadband access in the country

I posted recruitment for my in-person #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav game on #Facebook, #Nextdoor, and here last Sunday.
I got zero takers on FB and Masto, but I got two interested players on Nextdoor.
We try to play every two weeks but we're going back-to-back with last week. One of the new players is joining today. The other plans to join on the 25th, as she wants to be ready to essentially drop in the game, character ready to play.
Vampires! Werewolves?! A legion of flaming skeletons?!
Seeking players for Pathfinder1e game in #Ustalav!
Any available Pathfinder1e players in the Charleston, WV interested in joining an in-person game?
We play on Saturday nights, usually every two weeks. I've got two players presently, having just lost our third player. Looking for up to three more.
Any West Virginians out there?

The movie theater that closed in my "city" last year (May 2025) has been working for the past few months to re-open with new ownership.
Five hours ago they just posted a notice on Facebook "Stay tuned for movie times very soon!"
They used to have the best prices around before they closed. I hope they're still able to offer some deals without running themselves out of business again.

I've only had three players since May. If they had a fourth party member, that combat might not have taken two sessions.
It was a total of 10 rounds over two sessions.
Anyway, that is to say, know anyone in Charleston, WV interested in an in-person #Pathfinder1e game?
Is there a #TTRPGRecruitment hashtag? If not, there should be.

Tabletop RPG Campaign, OPEN SEAT
My current #Pathfinder1e #Ustalav campaign started in March 2024.
The campaign has ran for over a year, and has had 22 game sessions. The characters are level 3.
A player dropped out recently. I'm left with three regular players and one intermittent player (and myself, the GM). Looking to fill the open seat with another regular player.
Any #CharlestonWV locals interested?

My favorite pizza place (#GrazianosPizza) in #CharlestonWV closed last week for the owner's retirement.
Based on feedback on Facebook, they decided to reopen with new reduced hours.
My brother @Alrecenk and I are planning to go tomorrow. I don't know how long they'll stay open, but I've heard they've had lines out the door this week so hopefully the momentum keeps up and they also work out how the owner can happily retire without the shop closing.
I have posted a recruitment notice for my #Pathfinder1e game on Facebook and Nextdoor as well.
Most of my friends on Facebook I know but aren't in #CharlestonWV, and most of the people on Nextdoor are in Charleston but I don't know them.
I don't think many of them play RPGs either way though.
I do have on guy that has expressed interest on Facebook though, and I know him from my days hanging around a game store, so he might play.
Anyone in #CharlestonWV interested in playing #Pathfinder1e in an in-person game?
I'm a GM, I'm recruiting players.
I'm looking for four or five new players to run a short arc of 3-5 sessions so we can find out if our play-styles are compatible.
Previous Pathfinder or tabletop RPG experience is not necessary.
For the curious, my House Rules document is linked in my profile.

I haven't heard anything from the guy that expressed interest in playing #Pathfinder1e since 11 Nov.
I messaged him on Weds (22 Nov) and asked him if he was still interested, but I don't know if he'll reply. I'll give him until the end of the month (so until next Friday, 01 Dec).
It looks like it's back to square one for recruiting for my in-person #CharlestonWV #P1e game.
I joined Nextdoor day-before-yesterday so I can connect with more strangers in my area (#CharlestonWV) and hopefully recruit #TTRPG players.
I posted in a Nextdoor "Gaming/Anime/CCG" group for Charleston about looking for players for #Pathfinder1e and a guy has already contacted me expressing interest for he and a friend. They don't have any previous experience with #P1e, just #DnD5e, but that's fine by me.
He said they like horror-themed stuff, so we're off to a good start.
Today's crafty submission for the #30DayMapChallenge. I upcycle jars with historical topographic maps from various sources. This is from a USGS 1:62,500-scale Quadrangle for Charleston, WV 1936.

I have a GMing crisis myself.
The crisis is I want to GM an in-person #Pathfinder1e game. That means I have to find players to play the game I actually want to run.
It took me about 6 months to launch my last campaign back in 2012, and that started as a much more by-the-book #P1e experience that slowly morphed into the monstrosity I want to play now.
I'm in #CharlestonWV so if anyone that reads this is local and wants to take a chance, let me know.
I had a guy I knew (online only), who is also a DM, read-over my Pathfinder1e House Rules/Variant Rules document.
His feedback was positive, with that caveat that he thought it was good for a horror-themed game.
Now I just need to pin down the playable races list (which is still undefined) and actually start looking for players.

I hate when I have a new writing inspiration when I haven't finished what I was already writing.
I just had the urge to start writing a story about a Satanic cult in my community (#CharlestonWV).
Then I had other ideas, like it's really a pleasure cult of Bacchus, or it's really a bat monster that wants blood sacrifice, not a true demon.
But, I mean, I really want to finish the stuff I'm already writing.
This is a shot in the dark, but anybody in Charleston, WV or the vicinity interested in joining a #Pathfinder1e in-person mini-campaign of three to five sessions with a chance that it becomes something longer?
If you see this post months or years from now, just know I'm probably still interested in GMing. 😃 By then I may actually actively have a game running.
