I've been buying *a lot* of #classicalmusic CDs from #charityshops lately, and I've noticed that quite a few of them were originally the cover CDs from #bbcmusicmagazine. So, I decided to treat myself to a subscription 😎

There's one near me. The guy serving was talking to someone. I walked into the shop (as you tend to do in shops) and there was a picture under the counter where the till was. I was looking at it, but the guy talking kinda edged in front of me as I walked in. I went past and looked at the books, also by the counter, and he stood right near me, in between me and the till.

And I'm like: you design the layout with things near the till but you have a problem with thieves?

I'm now using charity shops like a music library.
I buy cds and unless they're very special and deserve to be kept and shoehorned onto my bulging shelves I just rip them to 320kbps MP3 and then donate them back to the charity shop!

It's surprisingly difficult to give away stuff. We get loads of old frames of varying quality but it's not always easy to find them a new home.

One problem is being able to reach the person who might want it. People have to live nearby. And often it's a case of downloading an #app that wants to collect and sell your #data.

Or if it's #CharityShops, you have to make the time to go to them and there might not a close by parking.

It seems you have to do a lot if work to give something for #free.
