Has anyone done #selfpublishing before? Which are your preferred platforms? I know of #GumRoad, #smashwords, #bookbaby, and others. I'm still working on the manuscript so haven't done a ton of research on the distribution platforms yet. But maybe if I describe the project it could help find a fit. It will be a #poetry book, likely a #chapbook with around a 20 to 30 page minimum. #Spiritual #socialjustice #nature themes. I might include a fraction of #humor poems if they fit the motif.

It is called "For the hypothetical aliens" and it is about our place in the universe, how we relate to nature, and what that means for us, individually.

It takes a stance somewhat centred on the dissonance between a SciFi way of looking at things vs. "realism".

It's about 40 pages of actual poetry plus the contents page, acknowledgements etc and (warning) it does contain one five page poem purporting to be about a mathematical equation...

The usual price is £5 but I am discounting them to £4 at the moment. Shipping in the UK is £1.80.

Since I posted this drawing to Patreon, I've been busy working on a website for the chapbook, figuring out fundraising ideas, and talking to the printer. I'm thinking of offering this particular drawing as a print — what do you think? Wouldn't this crow look great on your wall? *I* think so!
I'm both over-the-top excited to finally be done, and utterly at a loss for how to celebrate. Isn't that weird? So I'm trying to do that at least a little bit right here, right now.
