Team photo of Great Gransden bell ringers after their practice this evening. Tower Captain Sheila G invited us all to run a practice on successive weeks and seven of us voluntered. Tonight was the last in the series and we've all benefitted from the experience.

We finally rang another quarter peal of Double Oxford Bob Minor on handbells. It has eluded us recently and we even failed before tea and biscuits this afternoon. Once the caffeine kicked in we set off again with some spirited ringing and achieved our objective.

Here is a panoramic photo of the interior of Great Gransden church taken this morning whilst waiting for delegates of my Ring the Sim training course.
Ring the Sim is when we silence the church bells by securing the clappers, and each ringer takes turns to 'ring' a single bell with all the other bells sounded using simulated sound relayed through speakers via a dedicated app on a laptop, connected to sensors on the bells! Easy!
It is a listening skills event.
Bell ringing is very 21st century!
