    Chandrayaan-3 — первая индийская миссия, достигшая поверхности Луны. Это третья (после «Чандраян-2» и «Чандраян-1») автоматическая межпланетная станция (АМС) индийской организации космических исследований для изучения Луны. Миссия включала посадочный модуль и луноход. «Доставщик», т. е. двигательный модуль, смог успешно выйти на орбиту вокруг Луны, после чего от него отделились «пассажиры» — уже упоминаемые посадочная платформа и ровер. Несколько дней назад выяснилось, что индийскому космическому агентству удалось вернуть на землю двигательный модуль. После выполнения ряда манёвров он смог прилететь обратно на Землю, выйдя на орбиту планеты. Зачем понадобилось возвращать этот аппарат?
