Bon dimanche tout le monde !
Voici mon bol de #chaga du matin (début d'aprèm, ouais, bon, hein). Belle couleur, non ? Ça ne remplace pas mais j'ai diminué de moitié ma consommation de #café cet hiver. Goût de tisane de sciure mais ça se laisse apprécier finalement.

Restaurants in my town have been serving a mushroom based coffee alternative or additive called #Chaga. To my palate it sounds like what you were drinking. I’ll have it sometimes when it’s on the menu. I don’t like it enough to keep a supply of it.

Chaga! A parasitic fungus that grows predominately on White Birch trees. It is has said to have health benefits when made into a tea. There are various processes for this but I boil up a half gallon at a time. (no, I don't drink it all at once!). I add Maine Maple Syrup to my cup. I only harvest a small portion of the growth at any given time so it can grow back. I probably have two dozen trees geolocated in the woods around me. Been harvesting Chaga for decades now.
