Remembering Tea Master Sen Genshitsu (1923-2025), who spread peace through sipping.
His philosophy is quoted on page 53 of my book, Shu Ha Ri: The Japanese Way of Learning: https://writingslowly.com/shuhari-book

Impressions of yesterday's silent tea ceremony - quite spontaneously held outdoors under a beautiful walnut tree.
We had Morning Dew wild white tea from Vietnam - wind chimes and cat cuddles included.
Tea connects 🙏🍵💚

Honoured to be invited to Hatsugawa, first tea ceremony of the year. We enjoyed delicious food, good conversation, admired all the tea tools and of course the tea. So grateful. I love my sensei.
。。#yyj
