9:15 a.m. Hart says “telestial” references the lowest level or degree of glory of heaven in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. So “telestial relatives” is a reference to people who are in the lowest level of heaven.”

Catching up on the *other* trial going on, the #ChadDaybell #LoriVallow case (I think it’s too lowbrow for Mastodon) and it continues to BLOW MY MIND how these people absolutely believed that they “God’s Favorites” and could therefore fuck and kill all they wanted, and even after burying two kids in their yard, everyone around them was like “None of my business!”, even when detectives told them the kids were missing and in danger!
And now, Chad’s on trial for killing his wife Tammy, and their adult children are on the stand STILL LYING AND COVERING UP FOR HIM. They’re going to be charged with perjury and they somehow think this is all proof of their “holiness”?!?! -
I know there isn't much #LoriVallow #ChadDaybell discussion on Masto, but I've been following this story from [close to] the beginning, and I'm always interested!
What's happening here is Chad's lawyer is TRYING to get a mistrial. He wants OFF of this case."Judge Steven Boyce has issued a gag order in the Chad Daybell case after his defense attorney participated in a media interview this week.
John Prior, Daybell’s lawyer, spoke with KIVI TV Tuesday about how he and Daybell met, whether Lori Vallow Daybell could be called as a witness and other aspects of the trial.
On Thursday, Boyce issued a non-dissemination order prohibiting “any party to this case, including the prosecuting attorney, defense attorney, and any attorney representing a witness, victim, or victim’s family” from making written or oral statements about the case until April 15 or after opening statements have been made."

My idea for a #LoriVallow #ChadDaybell miniseries/movie would be to tell it from #MelanieGibb ‘s POV, and take her ***at face value*** that she was “completely unaware” 🙄 of what was happening around her, portraying her as an absolutely self-absorbed, clueless, vapid dimwit.
This would have the bonus of all the violence taking place offscreen! We don’t need to see it, this is a character-driven story.
The actions are a result of character, not the other way around. -

#LoriVallow #ChadDaybell #AfterglowPodcast #KathyBrooksI repeat, I am NOT a “true crime” fan, but I cannot get enough of this story! There are so many crazy characters, so much back-&-forth texting, that you can visualize every scene! The main thing to know is Lori did not believe her bullshit; it was a means of controlling, dominating and manipulating those around her, who *DID* believe her bullshit!
My blood pressure couldn’t take following the story as it broke; I had to wait til after she was found guilty for three of the murders. I was sure she was going to use “These are my sincere deeply-held religious beliefs” as a GET OUT OF JAIL FREE card, and I just couldn’t take that.
Her sentencing is scheduled for July 31!
She got away with everything for a long time, and there are still more mysterious deaths in her wake that she’ll never be charged with.
