Guess what. Yet another new COVID subvariant has been spreading. This one’s called CH.1.1 ‘Orthrus’, and it’s a descendant of the BA.2.75. Its currently in 5th place on CDC ongoing COVID variant tracker chart in the U.S.

🇺🇸 US COVID: In the week ending February 4:

1. XBB.1.1.5 subvariant was still top dog - 66.4%
2. BQ.1.1. - 19.9%
3. BQ.1 - 7.3%
4. XBB - 2.2%
5. CH.1.1 - 1.6%
