They allege that Trump engaged in defamation and intentional infliction of emotional distress with his statements during the Sept 10 Presidential debate.

The #CentralParkFive, 5 #black teenagers who were falsely accused and wrongfully convicted of a brutal attack on a white woman in Central Park NYC in 1989, have filed a #lawsuit against Donald #Trump for defamatory comments during the debate claiming they had "pled guilty" to the crime and that the victim had died. They maintained their innocence the entire time and the victim survived to later confirm the mistaken identity.
Donald Trump, a staunch long-time advocate for the #DeathPenalty, infamously took out a two-page ad in the #NewYorkTimes, demanding the death penalty be reinstated, using the appeals of the Central Park 5 as an argument. He defends this to this day.
Donald Trump spent all four years of his presidency bringing back the federal Death Penalty, and #executed 13 people in his final year: the only other president to execute anyone since 1963 was George W Bush, who executed 3 people before ceasing the policy.
If Trump wins, he WILL expand federal #execution.
