I’m listening to the #Centaurworld soundtrack, and now I really want Niffty to get a solo song number in #HazbinHotel. Kimiko didn't have nearly enough singing parts in season 1.

I don't know how many people here will know about this because it was back before I joined Mastodon, but the Centaurworld fanzine I wrote for a while back - Fragile Things - has just put in its planned donation to Care for Gaza!

IIRC, the deer in Adventure Time are pretty much always dicks.Though at least they lack the sheer corrupting scope and nightmare quality of the Nowhere King from Centaur World.
(Edit: I was thinking of the Nowhere King as deer-related. But maybe he's got too many insect-like qualities?)

Yesterday, I was reminded of an animated show on Netflix that was quickly forgotten, #Centaurworld.
(Spoiler alert!) It is about a generation broken by war. If their side won, the victory was Pyrrhic.
Characters survive by pretending that everything is better than perfect and by hiding in the fandoms/hobbies/whatevers that once gave them pleasure. Very few characters fought in the war (they were too young), but all of the characters suffer from PTSD.
It's a show about *deeply* flawed and hurt characters having to grow.
This show is mood whiplash. It alternates between fart jokes, death, proof that *anything* can be a dildo, body horror, and Broadway-style songs.

Finished #Centaurworld! I enjoyed it overall, though at its weirdest it was a little much for me. (Did not like the tweets.) Cried at the end, which seems to be a given for animations these days 😅

I'm trying to think of something fun to post with the new members, but all I can think of is to recommend my current favorite shows. My two top favs are #HouseBroken (comedy of pets in a group help circle), and #CentaurWorld (high fantasy farce/musical with #StevenUniverse -ish style)
