@baoigheallain Exactly. They must not have talked to people who actually use the censuses a lot, who'd have told them that the person's trade and place of birth, and the house number of the current house are essential things to have on the front search page, for functional use

The hames made of the census means that my handy shortcut that brought me straight to the search for the censuses - http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/ - doesn't work any more - you have to wade through reams of kludge before happening on the search form

#Historians - anyone know where I'd get a map of historical #Dublin #DED #DistrictElectoralDivision to help me navigate the 1901 and 1911 censuses - I'm getting to know the north quays from the south, etc, but it would be very handy to just have a map #CensusOfIreland @ccferrie @marymcauliffe
