Advice needed on cat adoption -

My daughter wants to adopt a cap from the local cat shelter. They use sWheat Scoop cat litter, which is made from wheat grain that is not fit for human consumption. My daughter has Celiac. So far, we have not had any wheat or gluten containing products in the house since her diagnosis since I don't want any cross-contamination issues.

I'm not sure what to do.
I don't want to get the cat bathed since I think baths are usually pretty traumatic for cats and he is a senior and I think it would be a bad start.

One idea I had wat to keep him in a smaller area for a few days and allow him to groom himself to remove most of it.

Maybe wipe his feet with a damp towel?

Yesterday we went to a cat shelter because we would like to adopt a cat. The shelter uses sWheat Scoop cat litter, which is made from wheat grain. My daughter has Celiac. Of course, she is not going to eat the cat litter, but it gets into the air and it is not a good idea for someone with Celiac (and perhaps for anyone with the Celiac gene?) to breathe it in. We were using the same cat litter when she started having Celiac symptoms. While she was still in hospital, I got rid of it, got a new cat pan and a new vacuum cleaner and thoroughly vacuumed a few times before she came home.

I don't know if the box has a warning, but I would welcome it if it did since although it is probably obvious to someone with Celiac that they would not want to use this brand, it might not cross the mind of someone who does not have Celiac or a family member with it.

I am reminded of a child with fish allergy who went to a relative's house where they fried fish, inadvertently exposing him to aerosolized fish particles. Sadly, he died.

So some miralax midday yesterday because of the low-grade nausea and it I think helped push things through a little bit the nausea is like 95% gone

And I'm going to cut out weed for a while and see what happens

So there is an oat Maple sourdough that I love eating I used to love it and I think either changed the recipe or my body has changed to the point where #celiac might be an issue

Because I used to be able to eat an entire loaf as a meal but now it's not digesting as easily

So I didn't get one today, I got 2 baguettes

And the second baguette is making me feel the food fear I got from diverticulosis....cuz I'm not wanting to eat it

Because I'm feeling that same nausea that I get from the maple oat sourdough... It's not only Maple and oat it also has whole wheat in it

Is nausea normal with celiac?

I have it in my head to try to make some oat flour scones (with blueberries or apple). My wife has celiac disease so we can’t have regular flour in the house. But there are alternatives, including I understand using your food processor and some GF oats to just blitz and make flour. I’ll see how it goes this week maybe. #Celiac #Baking

It's National Celiac Awareness day in the US, and as someone I'm close to has the disease I'm gonna talk about it.

Coeliac disease (as we spell it in the UK) is not an allergy or intolerance, it's an autoimmune disorder that can lead to cancer. Gluten is a serious risk to long term health. It might not make them immediately vomit or nauseous but it's still doing harm.
