I haven't read the decision. Regardless, I feel the hockey players deserve condemnation, and the case decision would not change my mind.
Anyway, I do note that the NHL put out a reasonable statement:
"The allegations made in this case, even if not determined to have been criminal, were very disturbing and the behaviour at issue was unacceptable. We will be reviewing and considering the judge's findings. While we conduct that analysis and determine next steps, the players charged in this case are ineligible to play in the league."

An improvised explosive device caused a car explosion overnight in Barrie, ON. Police found a 2nd IED nearby and had to evacuate apartment buildings nearby during the investigation.
Police also conducted a controlled explosion of the 2nd device at the scene.
