This kind of shit is so out of hand at this point I think we're past the point of ever returning to normalcy. The post-war Jewish golden age is fucking over, kids.
"#Professor #AbigailBornstein is a #Jewish #faculty member at #CCSF who became the target of repeated, public, and highly personalized attacks rooted in #antiSemitic tropes and threats. The most serious incident occurred during a public CCSF Board of Trustees meeting on May 29, 2025, when she became the victim of a prolonged, profanity-laced tirade.
At this meeting, #MariaSalazarColon, a CCSF staff member and Management Assistant in the Office of Student Conduct and Discipline, who is also the president of the campus chapter of #SEIU #Local1021, referred to Professor #Bornstein as a “colonizer,” mocked her Jewish surname (“Dumb-stine”), and told her to “shut the f*** up” multiple times."

Went to the Educated Palate Bakeshop for the first time. Perfect and fresh. This lot cost me about as much as a day-old dough-blob at Starbucks.
Made by City College students!

Nice to see that #CCSF is looking at implementing a #ClimateActionPlan (https://www.sfexaminer.com/forum/why-san-francisco-city-college-needs-a-climate-action-plan/article_dd37c84e-baec-11ee-8c41-875f4ff65563.html)

New City College of San Francisco #CCSF trustees reverse #layoffs after financials demonstrate the union's projections were correct and those of the university administration claimed a deficit that didn't exist. https://48hills.org/2023/05/new-city-college-board-rescinds-layoffs-sets-plan-for-rebuilding-the-school/

SF City College promises to heat frigid classrooms by this summer. At the meeting, ESL instructor Carolyn Cox handed trustees a packet of Hothands hand warmers to pass around. “There, problem solved,” she said.

For years, no heat has been provided at City College's Mission campus. One classroom reported that the temperature fell to 42 degrees.
Immunocompromised and students with disabilities drop out of classes. Teachers feel like they’re moving "from one icebox to the other" with multiple viewing it as unfair that the conditions fall onto a student body that is majority people of color, low-income, immigrants, and working class.

are there any places in the #SFBayArea with a good #photo printer that'll let you fuss around with it yourself instead of just printing for you? printing at #CCSF may not work out because their system is absurd and the place where you pay for paper and the place where you print are literally not open at the same time, so the lab is open tonight but i may not be able to get my hands on the paper i need. i could send my images to an external photo lab and have them printed for me, but i'd really like to get my hands dirty and have a bit more creative control over the process. any ideas?
