Visiting a #forest managed in continuous cover #forestry in #Finland. Very inspiring to see that this can be done, and profitably, in a boreal forest context too - we often hear the opposite in #Brussels from the forest industry's lobbyists.
Yes, pines in particular need light in their early years, but this can be done by lightly opening the canopy: there is an alternative to clear cuts in Finland too!

Le 4 décembre, il a annoncé le projet de se séparer de 1 410 salariés et de 84 agences. C’est l’un des plus grands plans de licenciements en cours dans le pays.Une casse silencieuse. Si les salarié·es de Michelin brûlent quelques pneus en forme de protestation, si celles et ceux d’Auchan envahissent les magasins, il y a d’autres licencié·es qui se font remercier (presque) sans mot dire.
C’est dans un silence assourdissant que la banque CCF, anciennement HSBC France, a annoncé le 4 décembre son projet de se séparer de 1 410 personnes, soit plus d’un tiers de sa masse salariale, et de 84 de ses 235 agences.
