Is there an established "#standard" for marking #mastodon uploaded #content as creative-common #license d in its various bits and pieces? Should I add the respective tags? (e.g. #cc_by or #creativecommons or ...) Do you have a #legal #template that is actually a valid license statement from me as #copyright holder and #creator ? That'd be awesome..

Does anyone have experience with #CDLA licenses for research data? Many people use #CC_BY licenses for data, even though they were primarily made for media. From what I can see, they are compatible (in some ways), but is there a benefit of using CDLA over CC_BY?

Most of the articles published by members of #OASPA (Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association) use #CC_BY licenses.

Compare to all the OA journals in the #DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals). See the data I collected late last year. CC BY licenses were the most common but not by the same margins.
