That little `pipeline-renderer` fence is an isomorphic view of the same tool that I use to tick the graph, the glowing Ruby heart at the core of the thing.

The first tool I ever built for Peregrine was called `jeeves`
It's the state management tool for the platform, "home jeeves" the obvious line everytime the name Jenkins comes up.
Ruby based, part of a ~100k LOC gem that's a bit long in the bootstrapping
`wooster` came later, a go+cobra replacement for the ruby+commander leviathan.
Then it came time for resourcing. Turns out 3 people ain't enough to run a platform the size of ours and not kill at least one of us (probably the guy with the already overactive amygdala)
Thus toodle-oo tier was born. Out of necessity

First thing I did to prove the graphnode theory was write on to report on the fortunes we've been capturing ourselves as an artifact of the building process.

On AI:
The "AI makes everything generic" critique assumes a particular relationship where AI is doing the creative work and humans are prompting.
Why did we assume that's the only way?
Why is it that when people come across something they don't understand they assume it's dangerous?
Why is it that when people come across something they don't understand they assume they should just use it the same way they use everything else?
When it's an AI they get hallucinated answers and afraid of the death of creative work.
When it's a person they get myositis.
Why not the inverse: AI as cognitive scaffolding that lets you be more yourself, not less.
Tools that surface what you were already doing so you can pick up the thread.
Tools that validate your work don't replace judgment, they externalizes a check you'd otherwise hold in working memory.
In my case, a thing I don't have spare.

It can be completely impossible to try to find space for a group of people that have so completely excluded you from their lives that the very attributes that make you you are incomprehensible to them. They literally cannot think of being you. There's nothing in their world to even light a candle to aid with vision, let alone attempting to clear the path to understanding.
You to them are as unknowable as someone standing up to wipe their ass is to me
But, empathy is a bitch. Its a two way street every time. Meeting ignorance with apathy, and hostility with pain are impossible conditions under which to thrive.
The only path forward for any of us is to become the candle. Become the light pointing to the path that shows the rest of the world we're not deficient, we're not dangerous and we're not something worth washing out with bleach.
Conflict doesn't work. Especially with us

The middleware in rendering mode takes care of injecting the results back into the document the code ran from.
In this case, we're using the other mode - fences as first class functions. Any fence defined on any node in the graph becomes an executable API. Composable just by copy and paste.
Pick any fence in the graph from Telescope, execute it, results into a new buffer

The history of us is riddled in fear.
By us, for obvious reasons.
Of us, originally because we threatened the tribe. A second too late was enough. Now a sign of what?
Now it comes through in multiple directions. Systemically, in "thought" that still others us, because we think different. Personally, every time that kid on the edge needs someone else to step on to secure their own place in the hierarchy.
Organizationally, every time one of us becomes an unknowing organizational pillar, both trapped and secure in their position. Fear on both sides preventing change. Fear of stepping out of the structure entirely. Fear of watching it fall apart. Fear from the other side, of seeing the quiet little mouse suddenly gain a voice. Fear of losing a reliable crutch.
