  1. I'm enjoying using the #cavity wine app.

It's nicely designed, #floss , supports the necessary things well but does not bother you with ads or other commercial noise.

Lots of room for improvement, but the foundation feels great

Its been a while since last post about #meshtastic 868 #cavity filter build
    (techhub.social/@gafu/114162745)

I build 2 pc of the long one with 3 elements, and 2 ones with 4 elements.

I got different unwanted spikes and now i know where they came from: its related to the lenght of the coax wires.

With more elements it get difficult to bring each element to the right resonance frequency, so i soldered brass m4 nuts to the cap and installed brass setscrews on top of each element.

I fidddled around with aditional decoupling wires to get deeper filter response.

In the pictures you can see the filter response from the better one of the 4-element type. The Markers are in or close to the local used GSM/LTE cellular band

  5. "Tell me my origin story again," said Nierex. He loved this story.

His mother unfurled cilia indulgently. Truly, none of the millions she'd spawned had been like Nierex.

"I noticed your broodmates were disappearing. So I hid those of you who remained in my abdominal #cavity--no predator could get you there! When I thought you were big enough, I spat you out."

"The others didn't survive your stomach acid, but I did," Neirex said happily.

    His mother glowed with pride.

The light reflected off the sterile white porcelain fixtures and garish blood-red splashes. How dare he say she had ten cavities? Ten! No way insurance would cover that. The dentist and his assistant wordlessly asked, “What will you do with us now?” But she knew. There were dozens of undiscovered caves in the hills. The pair would fit nicely in one of the smaller cavities.

She laughed at her little joke. Cavity.

  13. Forrest awoke. He blinked his eyes several times and looked out the hole of his #cavity. Perfect weather. It would be a busy day.
He emerged and shook out his feathers. It was time to menace litterbugs and instill some terror. He clacked his beak then took to silent wings in search of prey. #wss366

  17. I decided to update my original #GoFundMe goal to try & wipe out the last $6,000 I have in #veterinary #debt so I can not only afford to adopt a dog again, but also afford to go to the #dentist. I've been having tooth pains but my insurance doesn't cover enough to pay for #cavity repair.

  19. I got a rotten #molar #tooth pulled out about 4 months ago, and thought it healed fine. Got it check out by the dentist and everything. Just now, however, I felt something glance past the gum there and got this shooting #pain like an intense #cavity even though the tooth is gone. Felt back there with my finger, and I swear there is like bone or something jutting out of my gum to a sharp point. Holy shit. I guess I never felt it because it was so far back. Is this a #dental emergency?

  21. In competition diving, athletes chase a rip entry, the nearly splash-less dive that sounds like paper tearing. Part of a successful rip dive comes in the impact, where divers try to open a small air cavity with their hands that their entire body then enters. But the other key component happens below the surface, where divers bend at the hips once underwater. This maneuver enlarges the air cavity underwater and disrupts the formation of a jet that would typically shoot back upwards. Done properly, the result is an entry with little to no splash at the surface and a panel full of pleased judges. (Image credits: top – A. Pretty/Getty Images, other – E. Gregorio; research credit: E. Gregorio et al.; via Science News; submitted by Kam-Yung Soh)

  22. i spent 90 minutes at the #dentist yesterday getting phase 1 (of 2) of a dental crown. my final appt in 2 weeks will hopefully end this adventure. hopefully!

this will literally cap off a 6year saga including… toothache, #cavity, emergency cavity repair, infection, #antibiotics, #RootCanal, gum disease and finally a much more invasive than anticipated grinding and (soon) permanent capping of the dead tooth, overall costing about $8k when all said and done.

    tldr?

    look after your #teeth folks!

  25. my #dentist ignored a #cavity I started developing a year ago and now I need a #rootCanal to dig the entire nerve out 🙃

ladies, don't let dentists and #doctors assume you're exaggerating when you say you have pain! insist you get the care you need, because your #pain is #valid despite the #sexist assumption that "women complain too much"

  28. Well done to those people selecting <The cavity magnetron> option.

Whilst the use of #magnetic fields as a means to control the flow of an #electrical current was know earlier, the #cavity #magnetron was introduced by John Randall and Harry Boot at the University of #Birmingham in 1941.

It was initially used in #RADAR giving the allies a significant lead in #WorldWar2.

It subsequently found another use in #microwave ovens of which over 1bn are in use today.
