I got really excited when I read about this.
I like Idles a great deal, and the feeling is mutual for Darren Aronofsky as a film maker.

This soundtrack is a perfect mix of Idles (4 new songs!) and atmospheric instrumental score pieces by Simonsen.

A lot of track titles reference Lower Manhattan (Alphabet City, Tompkins Square Park, Loisaida), which as a former resident of NYC, tickled me greatly.

The final track, “Rabbit Run” is truly killer.

A really enjoyable record.
Tense, nervous, and dirty.
I’m very pleased with it.

#CaughtStealing is one of those #movies of being in the wrong #place at the wrong #time when doing a favor to the wrong #friend.

It’s a #crime #drama with some #comedy or #humor, but those jokes are not presented as jokes. They’re more like situational jokes. Like #ButterflyEffect jokes.

Highly recommended. That hour and 50 minutes felt like 10 minutes.

#CaughtStealing is a real good movie. I guess you could call it neo-nior. But not moody or at all lacking in lighting.

A bartender is dealing with shit, trying to make his relationship work. When his neighbor lands him in alot of trouble. With alot of bad guys. And he is stuck navigating his alive status, his alcoholism, millions in cash, and a cat.

Great chars. And a great story flow from a snappy script.

Vedere l'ultimo film di #DarrenAronofsky dal tiolo #CaughtStealing è stata una grossa sorpresa soprattutto perché in risonanza con i fatti che stanno accadendo negli ultimi giorni con #Gaza e #Israele al centro del mondo

Diciamo che per una volta non ci sono ossessioni visive o idee compulsive che hanno invece caratterizzato gran parte della sua filmografia (pensiamo per esempio a capolavori come #RequiemforaDream e #piilteoremadeldelirio oppure ai più recenti #BlackSwan o #TheWhale)

und der song, über den ich mich fast am meisten gefreut habe (#idles soundtrack hatte ich bereits ge.#bandcamp.ed), war ganz leise im hg #portishead - wandering star! #caughtstealing

heute nach ewigkeiten mal wieder in's kino geschafft. und der film hat mir sehr gut gefallen. interessant, weil glaube mit "the wrestler" habe ich bei aronofsky aufgehört. black swan nie gesehen z.b. aber "requiem of a dream" und vor allem "pi" sehr gefeiert. dagegen ist "caught stealing" 'nen echter feel-good-movie, nicht so deep, negativ und existentialistisch, sondern einfach ein schön absurder new-york-film...und großartiger soundtrack natürlich. #caughtstealing
