Thoughts please. I messaged person who I rehomed Dexter (and Florence) from to let her know about Dexter. She moved to London 6.5 years ago, and was looking for someone to take them, so glad we were able to.
Anyway, she said she would like to send some money to help with costs etc. My first instinct was to say no thanks, but she did have them for a lot longer than we did.
What would you do? TIA

So, kitty update. The meds arrived, they cost less than I thought, and Sophie gobbled up her "treat"! Whew!

So, tests from the vet came back. Sophie definitely has thyroid issues. Ordered some treats in 2.5mg dose (2x daily) from a local pet pharmacy. Follow up in 3 weeks. The good news -- kitty is loving eating Wellness food (rather than Purina). It's lower in iodine, and one of my other cats lived to be 19 (and we switched him to Wellness food at about the same age). Anyhow, thanks to everyone who chimed in! I really love the community that's here on Mastodon -- especially fellow #CatParents!
