I’m reading my first novel in years, Conspirata by Robert Harris, written in the voice of Tiro, the enslaved scribe of a #Cicero, about a series of events that actually happened at the end of the Roman Republic.

When accused of involvement, Caesar pointed to Cicero’s testimony that he had informed against Catiline.
