@paninid Examples such as yours are ones that I believe are productive and useful. Comparative history is important and insightful, when done right (which is why warnings from the Founders are so important). I've been seeing a lot more *248 years is really close to 250* #discourse which is based on Glubb's #pseudohistory which distracts from the rich comparisons of #Catiline and #Caesar
