Been having a lot #CatastrophicThinking for a while. Thinking it might be #adhd and that maybe #CBT had something to say about it, I googled that.
All I did was read the first hit and I immediately realized it was just stupid. The thinking, not the worksheet.
I just sort of laughed with relief and the thinking melted away for hours. I should probably pursue this more...

I've determined that my scientific brain is very good at #CatastrophicThinking which sucks. Putting a name to it though feels pretty good.
I was #Catastrophising a personal thing and the negative thinking hinged on a few assumptions and after a day of this I asked for clarification of one hinge assumption. The moment I learned that the assumption was wrong the cycle of perseverating ended.
I think that it's my trouble coping with negative emotions especially involving relationships. Ouch.
