Yes, we got another game. Tried it at Estrie-Joue and loved it.

After 15 or so years of playing modern board games, Castles of Burgundy is still my favorite. It was one of the first we bought when we discovered this hobby. I love it so much! It does everything I want. Puzzly tile laying. Clever dice rolling. Big exciting combo fueled turns that make you feel clever when you see them. It just makes me so happy! According to my board game stats app, I've played at least 346 different games. This one still stands above the rest.

I literally had to dust off my copy of Castles of Burgundy. I hope the dice don't hold a grudge against me tonight. #boardgames #CastlesofBurgundy

😉 #brettspiele

Here's what we played last month! Feels like we played more games, but I log pretty meticulously, so it must be right.

It was spooky month, so we played a couple games of #Betrayal. Always a good time!

It was good to see #ZombieDice hit the table. One of the best push your luck games around.

For some reason, everyone in my gaming group loves #Horrified. It's fine I guess, but it gets old real fast. No turn ever feels very exciting. The mini puzzles of the different monsters are annoying, and the font is too small. I just don't like it. But It's just a couple times a year, so I'll stop complaining and just enjoy the company.

Finally picked up #CastlesofTuscany. Pretty fun game. Nowhere near as satisfying as #castlesofburgundy, but it does some interesting things. And does it quickly.

Played #PowerGrid for the first time. Didn't care for it. May have been more fun if everyone else didn't already have it mastered.

I've been playing a bit more of #CastlesOfBurgundy in #boardgamearena and it turned out people play way more aggressively than I expected.
Turns out this game is not what I thought it was, interesting.

Braucht man
- #agricola
- #broomservice
- #puertorico
- #thurnundtaxis

👍 Gerne.

We couldn’t resist so we’re playing Castles of Burgundy now.

Started and couldn't stop playing Castles of Burgundy this weekend (ended up playing 4 rounds over the course of the weekend). A very fun and interesting game, but it took my a while to figure out the best strategy.

Endstand:

Ursu: 206
@vstrickt: 206

Freie Plättchen im Fürstentum:

Ursu: 7

Was ne knappe Kiste! Ich liebe dieses Spiel!

I’m always up for spontaneous board games. I ended up playing Quacks of Quedlinburg and Castles of Burgundy tonight.

So we’ve played Something Wild (Mandalorian edition), Bohnanza and 6 Nimmt. We’ve chosen Castles of Burgundy and Carcassonne for this evening.

#boardgames night was more VagrantSong (🧵), but new to me was Castles of Tuscany, sequel to #CastlesOfBurgundy. The mechanical themes are the same -- draft tiles, place on matching color, extra actions and chaining combos -- but it plays faster and uses card draw instead of dice rolling as the draft restriction. I think I like it better due to speed (and also I won by 2). It's still subject to the same shuffle luck where a player might be advantaged by reveal order and there's no counter. 7.2/10

So, I thought I'd get in on one of these hastags doing the rounds.
