After 15 or so years of playing modern board games, Castles of Burgundy is still my favorite. It was one of the first we bought when we discovered this hobby. I love it so much! It does everything I want. Puzzly tile laying. Clever dice rolling. Big exciting combo fueled turns that make you feel clever when you see them. It just makes me so happy! According to my board game stats app, I've played at least 346 different games. This one still stands above the rest.

Gestern kamen die Acrylteile für #CastlesOfBurgundy, die ich beim 1. KS vergessen hatte mit zu bestellen. Heute fiel die Wahl beim #BrettspielBingo mit der Tochter dann auf dieses Spiel. Es ist wohl noch etwas komplex für sie, aber mit meiner Unterstützung und ihrer Hotelstrategie (s. Bildbeschreibung) hat sie am Ende sogar gewonnen… 😅 Das Spiel gefällt weiterhin sehr gut; gerade zu zweit. Die Special Edition sieht noch dazu toll aus; das Auge spielt mit. 😉 #brettspiele

Here's what we played last month! Feels like we played more games, but I log pretty meticulously, so it must be right.
It was spooky month, so we played a couple games of #Betrayal. Always a good time!
It was good to see #ZombieDice hit the table. One of the best push your luck games around.
For some reason, everyone in my gaming group loves #Horrified. It's fine I guess, but it gets old real fast. No turn ever feels very exciting. The mini puzzles of the different monsters are annoying, and the font is too small. I just don't like it. But It's just a couple times a year, so I'll stop complaining and just enjoy the company.
Finally picked up #CastlesofTuscany. Pretty fun game. Nowhere near as satisfying as #castlesofburgundy, but it does some interesting things. And does it quickly.
Played #PowerGrid for the first time. Didn't care for it. May have been more fun if everyone else didn't already have it mastered.

Ich weiß Deluxe-#Brettspiele sind eine Sache für sich. Ich hab meine Liebe für #CastlesofBurgundy (#dieburgenvonburgund #bubu) entdeckt. Heute Mittag startet die #Gamefound-Kampagne. Taugen die Acrylteile was oder lohnen dich sich nicht? Ich finde die Erklärung auf der Rückseite der Pappteile eigentlich super. Und dass ich nachher auf die Acrylteile noch Etiketten klebe, finde ich echt nicht wertig. Spare ich mir das Geld?
