Anyone remember the game Castle Adventure for MS-DOS? Is there a name for that style of game?
At first glance it appears to be an old-school roguelike, but it has none of the features of a roguelike. No randomness, no prodcedrual generation, no expectation of death and repeated play.
I'm considering calling it an "un-roguelike."
Does anyone have other examples of un-roguelikes?
